어린 시절, 라디오는 내 삶에 많은 행복과 활력을 가져다준 소중한 존재였다.
라디오를 이렇게 좋아하는 정확한 이유를 딱 꼬집어 말하기는 어렵다. 아마도 그것은 음악, DJ, 혹은 라디오를 사용했던 순간들과 관련이 있을지도 모른다. 나는 라디오를 바라볼 때마다 그때의 기억을 떠올리곤 한다. 물론 TV도 있지만, 시간이 지나면서 TV는 계속해서 새롭고 혁신적인 모습으로 변화해간다. 반면, 라디오는 시간이 지나도 여전히 아날로그적인 매력을 간직한 채 남아 있다. 이것이 내가 라디오를 좋아하는 이유이다. I-Ready-O는 새로운 기종으로 변경한 후 서랍속에서 나오지 못하고 있는 과거의 추억이 담겨있는 스마트폰들을 내가 좋아하는 라디오로 바꿔줄 수 있도록 디자인한 제품이다. 제품 내부에 이제는 사용하지 않는 스마트폰을 넣으면, 측면의 스피커 홀에서 아날로그 감성의 소리가 들릴 수 있도록 했다.

During my childhood, the radio was a precious presence that brought happiness and energy to my life. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact reason why I love the radio so much. Perhaps it’s the music, the DJs, or the moments I spent using it. Whenever I look at a radio, memories of those times come rushing back. Of course, there are TVs, but as time passes, TVs continue to evolve with new innovations. Radios, on the other hand, retain their analog charm despite the passing years. This is why I love radios. I-Ready-O is designed to transform old smartphones filled with past memories, left untouched in drawers after upgrading to newer models, into a beloved radio. By placing an unused smartphone inside the device, sound is emitted through the speaker holes on the side, delivering an analog-inspired audio experience.
