Mark&Draw는 영국의 프리미엄 하이엔드 음향장비 제조업체인 B&W와 함께 프로젝트를 진행했습니다. 변화가 적고 제품 교체 주기가 긴 프리미엄 오디오 시장에서 신규 수익 창출에 어려움을 겪어 수익구조가 악화되고 있던 B&W는 수익을 창출할 수 있는 새로운 제품을 필요로 했습니다. 소비자들이 실내에 있는 시간이 늘어감에 따라 휴대용 스피커, 블루투스 이어폰, 프리미엄 사운드 바같은 제품의 소비자 선호도가 증가하였고, 게임 등의 엔터테인먼트를 즐기는 상황에서 프리미엄한 사운드를 요구하는 소비자들이 증가하였습니다. Mark&Draw는 이러한 시장 흐름을 반영하여, B&W를 위한 프리미엄 사운드 와이드 모니터를 제안했습니다.
Mark & Draw collaborated with Bowers & Wilkins (B&W), a British premium high-end sound equipment manufacturer, on a project. In the premium audio market, where changes are minimal and product replacement cycles are long, B&W faced difficulties generating new revenue, leading to a deteriorating profit structure. As a result, they needed a new product that could drive revenue growth. With consumers spending more time indoors, there was a rising demand for portable speakers, Bluetooth earphones, and premium soundbars. Additionally, more consumers sought high-quality premium sound experiences while enjoying gaming and other entertainment activities. Reflecting this market trend, Mark & Draw proposed a premium sound wide monitor for B&W.

This product was designed as a high-end monitor for users who enjoy movies, games, music, and media. The key feature that differentiates this monitor from existing products is that it incorporates Bowers & Wilkins’ sound engineering to deliver a premium audio system. A soundbar, positioned along the curvature of the curved monitor, provides users with an immersive sound experience.
화면의 높이와 각도를 부드럽게 조절해 사용자의 요구에 맞춰 환경을 맞출 수 있도록 했습니다.
The height and angle of the screen can be smoothly adjusted to create an optimal setup tailored to the user’s needs.
사용자의 경험을 고려하여, 스마트폰 및 에어팟을 무선충전할 수 있도록 했습니다. 또한 USB와 같은 저장 장치를 쉽게 연결할 수 있는 허브 기능을 제공합니다.
Considering the user experience, the monitor is designed to support wireless charging for smartphones and AirPods. Additionally, it features a hub function that allows for easy connection of storage devices such as USBs.
*This was a proposed project, and we’re still willing to charge Bowers & Wilkins for the design because we didn’t get compensation accordingly (Bowers & Wilkins went bankrupt early in the pandemic at the time, and it’s now normalized). We haven’t received the cost of design work with them yet.
